Living Space – Contemporary Farmhouse
Where to start with this project! A complete interior and exterior remodel including a home addition that expanded the living room and kitchen into an open concept design. Contrasting the white farmhouse style exterior Hardi siding are black framed Andersen 100 series LowE Smartsun windows that accent the exterior of the home and pop out bay windows add space to the master bathroom, living room, and the kitchen.
Custom tile and luxury bathroom amenities such as a Brizo showerhead and soaker tub elevate the interior space. Neutral hues chosen throughout the house are warm and inviting but allow details such as the subway tile, hexagon tile backsplash, and white quartz counter tops to retain a clean and crisp feeling of contemporary design. The addition of a kitchen island with bar seating adds valuable counter space and room for entertaining. The Zephyr hood with custom built surround matches the character of the white shaker cabinets. Take a moment to appreciate the light fixtures in this remodel. The vanity lights in the bathrooms, the Flynn recycled glass pendants, and the Kichler Moorgate Linear Glass Chandelier in the kitchen are a rustic homage to this contemporary design’s integration of a farmhouse vibe.
For the outdoor living space, we built a large patio cover with can lighting and plumbed Sunpak gas heaters. The beams of the overhang are white, but the underside is tongue and groove pine with a natural finish to complement the neutral wood tones that are accented throughout the interior. Textured neutral grey concrete helps tie the patio into the slate tiled pool and hot tub. To complete this relaxing backyard retreat are Pentair bluetooth controlled lights and waterfalls around the ledge of the pool.
