Luke & Leah Woolsey
Woolsey Construction was founded in 2007 by Luke and Leah Woolsey, both proud San Diego natives. Luke, holding a General B license, began his construction career through real estate investing and residential projects. Leah, a licensed real estate agent since 2007, worked in the industry for several years. Their hands-on experience in purchasing, renovating, and selling properties sparked their entrepreneurial spirit, leading them to establish a construction company rooted in transparency, trust, and partnership.
With a shared passion for construction and design, the Woolsey Construction team is dedicated to building homes and spaces that enrich the lives of their clients.
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
Seth Woolsey
Seth, a San Diego native, served four years in the U.S. Army as infantry and color guard. Afterward, he earned an associate degree in criminal justice from Grossmont College. With over 20 years of experience in construction, Seth leads our project management department at Woolsey Construction. He has worked on both residential and commercial projects for sub-contractors and general contractors. Outside of work, Seth enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing golf, and hitting the gym.
PROJECT MANAGER
Aaron Rawls
Aaron, a San Diego native from North Park, started his construction career right after high school and has over 18 years of experience. He began as a field technician and now is part of the project management team. His field knowledge and attention to detail helps ensure projects run smoothly and stay on budget. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, friends, and his dog Harley. He also loves fishing, snowboarding, going to the gym, and relaxing with some country music.
SENIOR SALES & ESTIMATOR
Robert Chambers
A San Diego native, Robert started working in the field of residential construction in 1993 and earned his general contractor license in 2000. He is the lead sales agent for our team, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in residential and commercial construction. Robert spends his leisure time out hiking, exploring San Diego, and spending time with his granddaughter.
SALES & ESTIMATING
Jon Zar
Jon Zar, originally from Manhattan Beach, CA, moved to San Diego in 2015. He started out with a career in aviation as an FAA Master Parachute Rigger and manufacturer. After relocating to San Diego, Jon, with a passion for construction and design from a young age, transitioned to residential construction and now works in sales and estimating at Woolsey Construction. Outside of work, he enjoys building furniture, snowboarding, surfing, and relaxing at the beach. A big fan of live music, Jon can often be found at concerts across Southern California.
ACCOUNTING
Jessica Melius
Jessica holds a BA in Accounting from San Jose State University and has applied her expertise to implement and support accounting software across various industries. As Woolsey Construction’s financial manager and accountant, she enjoys being part of the team and watching beautiful spaces come to life for clients. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, often relaxing poolside with a good book.
Project Administrator
Sarah Brizendine
Sarah, a San Diego native, holds a BS in Urban Studies and Geography from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MBA from Colorado State University. With a strong background in management and development in both commercial and residential sectors, she has recently expanded into project administration. At Woolsey Construction, Sarah works closely with the project management team, leads the marketing department, and drives social media initiatives. Outside of work, she is passionate about being outdoors, triathlons, and hanging out with her husband glamping and traveling.
