Del Cerro Kitchen Remodel
Del Cerro Kitchen Remodel Contemporary
This kitchen underwent a full reconfiguration including moving utilities and the relocation of exterior doors and windows to capitalize on a view of the city below. The new double doors and additional windows provide a breath-taking view of the valley and easy access to the balcony. To open the space more, our team removed the dropped ceiling from the living room all the way into the kitchen, revealing beautiful wood beams that give the open-concept kitchen-living room a boost of grandeur and a 10″ gain in overhead space.

The newly exposed wood beams compliment custom built flat-panel walnut cabinetry. As the artistic focal point of the kitchen, our clients did not want to detract from the natural beauty and unique character of the live-sawn walnut cabinets. They selected slim black handles, which our cabinet maker notched into the inner edge of the cabinet doors for a seamless close contact closure. The floor to ceiling pantry cabinets along the far wall provide expansive storage with interior soft close dovetailed drawers built to last.

Show stopping elements do not end there. The literal centerpiece of this kitchen is the 75×80” quartzite topped over-sized island with under-mounted sink. Recessed cabinetry provides optional seating on two sides and the other two sides are outfitted with a built-in microwave and dishwasher. To complete the improvements to this kitchen appliances were upgraded to include a Wolfe sub-zero fridge, a gas cooktop with exposed stainless hood, and in cabinet double stacking ovens.
