Our clients came to us wanting to build an additional dwelling unit (ADU) on their property using the San Diego County standard ADU building plans floor plan F. The layout for this 600 square foot ADU includes one bathroom and a studio style bedroom/living room are with a dining room off the kitchen. This project is a great example of our finish shell option, which is a service level we offer to accomodate homeowners looking to self-complete certain interior features of their project. 

Our finish shell service option includes completing all of the structural and enginnering components of the project. We start the project from the very beginning and finish everything specified on the permitted drawings such as electrical, plumbing, utilities, and drywall. Then the owner takes over and installs the finishes they want such as flooring, ceiling fans, toilet, sinks, and cabinets. Often time this provides the homeowner with peace of mind that their building has the stuctural integrity and oversight of a licensed general contractor, but offers them the flexibility to budget out and self-install interior features of their project.
